The development of the valve industry in China has been for several decades. In 2009, the global valve and pump market demand will maintain the level of last year, industrial valve sales are still 47 billion US dollars, but the market demand in 2010 is expected to increase by 3%. The Chinese market will show strong growth momentum, of which the market for replaceable gate valves for thermal power plants is already twice that of the US market, accounting for more than 30% of the global market.

The valve industry in China has been developing for several decades. During this period, the valve standards have also achieved considerable development. The development of the valve industry is relatively stable, but there is still unregulated competition in the industry. For example, some of the operators sold their second sales after refurbishing and repainting used valves, which caused serious safety risks to the project quality and severely disturbed the market order of the valves.

At present, China's valve manufacturing industry has been able to provide users with about twelve categories, more than 3,000 models, more than 4,000 specifications of valve products, its performance parameters range from vacuum valves to ultra-high pressure valves of 600Mpa, and temperatures from cryogenic - 196 degrees Celsius to 570 degrees Celsius.

With the continuous development of valve technology, the continuous expansion of valve applications, with the corresponding valve standards are increasingly indispensable. Valve industry products enter a period of innovation. Not only do product categories need to be replaced, internal management also needs to deepen reforms according to industry standards.

According to the scientific concept of development, in order to ensure the coordinated development of the economy in the future and to improve people’s living needs, China will inevitably put infrastructure construction such as water, electricity, gas, and heat in the top priority. This is precisely where the valve is used. In other words, as a Chinese valve market that is still a new type rather than a replacement type, the potential and explosiveness of its demand will be staggering.
