The helium liquefier is operated by RasGas (Qatar) and the new installation brings the company's total helium production capacity to approximately 58 million cubic meters per year, making Qatar the second largest in the world. According to a long-term contract signed with RasGas and Qatargas, Air Liquide will purchase helium gas with a total capacity of 50%, making liquid-air space one of the major suppliers to the global helium market.
