The Separation Engineering Research Center of Nanjing University takes the separation of chemical mixtures in the development process industry as its mission. Based on the non-equilibrium thermodynamic entropy increase rate function, the researcher directly correlates the entropy increase rate of the plate with its specific structural parameters, and proposes an energy-saving new structural plate design method. This new method is the first in the history of plate research at home and abroad. Engineering tests have shown that compared with the traditional guided trapezoidal valve trays, the super-valve trays developed based on this new method have a pressure drop of only 42% that of conventional trays and an average 36% increase in the efficiency of liquid plates. The flexibility of operation is 1.67 times that of conventional trays, and its use in industry can significantly increase separation efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
On this basis, the research group has also developed a new process equipment for nitrogen oxide exhaust gas treatment and a new high-tech recovery equipment for organic solvent dimethylacetamide in the spinning process. The results of industrial application of these two equipment indicate that more than 99% of the nitrogen oxides active components in industrial waste gas can be captured and recycled into nitric acid, and the nitrogen oxide content in the exhaust gas is much lower than the national standard requirement of 50 mg/m3; The dimethylacetamide completely satisfies the production of high-quality spandex polymer fibers with a recovery rate of more than 99.5%. The purity of the product and the content of water, alkali and acid are the best in the same international technology.
