Changchai diesel engine certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

The reporter learned from Changchai Co., Ltd. on November 9, 2011 that the company's 61 model diesel engines passed the 2011 US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emission conformity certification and obtained a permit to enter the US market.

In recent years, Changchai Co., Ltd. has continuously deepened product structure adjustments and has actively explored and innovated in multi-cylinder, single-cylinder diesel engines, gasoline engines, and units. At the same time, according to the feedback information of the domestic and foreign markets, the new project was established, a corresponding development schedule was formulated for each project, and breakthroughs were made in the development and testing of new models such as EV80 and 3M78. At present, EV80 diesel engine has applied for five patents and has become one of Changchai's profitable varieties.
