China's Exports of All Types of Presses Increased in May

According to the statistics of China Customs, in May 2011, China imported a total of 1,022 plastic processing equipment and exported 3,941 sets; the import amount was 18,420,000 US dollars and the export amount was 19,976,000 US dollars, with a monthly deficit of 64.46 million US dollars.

From the perspective of subdivisions, injection molding machines are still large importers and exporters of plastic processing equipment. In May 2011, its imports and exports accounted for 45.6% and 54.7% of the total imports and exports, respectively, amounting to US$83.98 million and US$65.5 million. Other extruders and blow molding machines occupy the rest.

From the perspective of exports, all types of plastic processing equipment achieved various degrees of growth in May, and calendering machines and other injection machines grew faster. From the import perspective, all types of presses fell by more than half.

From January to May 2011, China has imported 4,992 plastic processing equipment and exported 19,779 units. The import and export volume was US$970 million and US$5.4 billion, respectively, and the cumulative deficit was US$430 million.
