Chongqing Iron & Steel "gongxun rolling mill" has been certified by 7 classification societies

On May 7th, the reporter learned from the Changshou Economic Development Zone that the 2700mm medium plate production line of the Chongqing Iron and Steel New District is a normal-fired marine steel plant, and recently passed the final stage of the certification work - the mechanical test. This indicates that the new heavy steel plate production line has completely covered and replaced the previous production capacity after the environmental protection relocation to longevity. In June last year, the “Sanfeng” brand steel plate rolled by the 2700mm medium plate production line of the heavy steel, which is known as the “gonglun rolling mill”, was hailed as “the first board in China”. The production line has set up the first in the same industry in China, “the first large-scale metallurgical heating furnace using computer control, the first national gold medal for obtaining container steel and boiler steel”. In 2008, the rolling steel plate of the 2700mm medium plate production line of Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. exceeded 1 million tons for the first time, becoming the largest steel production base for ships in the west.

The certification began at the end of February this year. The surveyors from seven classification societies, including the China Classification Society, the Norwegian Classification Society and the German Lloyd's Register, completed the relevant mechanical tests in the new district of Chongqing Iron and Steel Group, 2700mm. The production equipment and process, inspection capability and steel plate performance of the medium-board production line are fully affirmed and signed.

After the approval of the classification society headquarters, the new heavy steel 2700mm medium plate production line will officially produce normal fire marine steel plates. It is understood that this certification is also the last factory certification of the new heavy steel plate in the existing steel grade and specifications, marking the steel grade produced by the new heavy steel plate production line, which has completely covered and replaced the previous production capacity.
