First Public Service Platform for Automobiles and Components Settled in Suzhou

To provide key technical support and services for the development of the automotive and parts industries in Suzhou and East China, Suzhou yesterday established the first public service platform for the automotive and parts industries in East China. According to reports, the public platform was jointly constructed by the Suzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the Department of Automotive Engineering of Tsinghua University, and China Auto Parts Industry Company. At present, public inspection platforms, an important component of the public service platform, have begun to take shape. Suzhou Automotive and Parts Testing Technology Platform covers automotive parts and components such as automotive parts impact, environmental reliability, automotive electronics electromagnetic compatibility, and toxic and hazardous substances. It covers more than 200 inspection standards and has reached industry-leading level in many inspection capabilities. At present, it has obtained qualifications such as EU E/e-Mark certification and accreditation testing laboratory, GE accredited laboratories, and Brilliance Jinbei auto accreditation laboratory.

On the one hand, the platform realizes the sharing of specialized high-end inspection technologies, reduces the cost of auto parts companies' acquisition, reduces waste of resources, and improves production efficiency; on the other hand, it applies reverse engineering technology to shorten auto parts companies in clusters. The product development cycle will save companies a lot of development costs, increase their production capacity, and promote the development of the automotive industry in the region.
