On September 28th, Sinopec Guizhou Zhijin New Energy Chemical Industry Base "Coal Power Integration" Phase I Project - 600,000 tons/year polyolefin project, laid the foundation in Zhijin County, Bijie Prefecture, Guizhou Province. The project includes coal base construction and a three-phase coal chemical industry project with a total investment of 61 billion yuan, of which coal chemical project investment is 52 billion yuan. In the first phase of the project, the 600,000-ton/year polyolefin project will have an investment of 18 billion yuan. The main construction includes a new 1.8 million-ton/year methanol plant, a 600,000-ton/year methanol-to-olefin (MTO) plant and a 300,000-ton/year linear low Density polyethylene device and 300,000 tons/year polypropylene (PP) device, supporting the construction of public works, auxiliary facilities, storage and transportation facilities and environmental protection facilities, among which the methanol-to-olefin, polyethylene, and polypropylene devices all use Sinopec's own technology . The coal chemical project was built by the Sichuan Vinylon plant. The joint venture established between Sichuan Vinylon Factory and Guizhou Shuicheng Mining Group was listed at the end of 2009. The first pair of mines in Feitian Mine commenced construction at the end of 2009. The first coal mining face will be built at the end of this year, and the remaining 11 pairs of mines will be built one after another. A capacity of 10 million tons/year will be formed to ensure the coal resources demand of the “coal power integration†industrial project.
